Known only from this scrollA citizen of Sparta, renowned for their military prowess, discipline, and austere lifestyle. Interestingly, Spartans believed themselves to be descendants of the Spartoi ("sown men"), who in turn were born from dragon's teeth. This mythical lineage implies that all Spartans carry dragon blood in their veins, which may explain their legendary strength and ferocity in battle. This dragon ancestry adds a layer of irony and depth to Acenes' quest to slay Kalaxes, as he is, in essence, confronting a distant relative of his people.
